PLATELET RICH PLASMA

nutritionally optimised PRP natural Facial rejuventation

Your Nutrition + Your Skin + Your Plasma

Nutritionally Optimised PRP Natural Facial Rejuvenation

Your skin is remarkable. It is constantly repairing, renewing, and responding to the world around it.

Nutritionally Optimised PRP Natural Facial Rejuvenation uses a small sample of your own blood to create a liquid-gold treatment that is rich in platelets. This either injected into the skin, or applied to the skin prior to microneedling, in order to support the body’s natural repair processes.

At Progressive Wellness, Kate Knowler takes a considered approach to your nutrition in the weeks leading up to your appointment, and her Nutritionally Optimised PRP Natural Facial Rejuvenation treatments are designed to support long-term healthier-looking skin, improving the appearance of skin quality, and encouraging a more refreshed and revitalised complexion, without trying to make you look like someone else.

Nutritionally Optimised PRP Natural Facial Rejuvenation. Because you are what you eat. Your skin knows it. Your PRP deserves it.

Your treatment at Progressive Wellness

Your appointment begins with a consultation with Kate Knowler, so that you can discuss your skin concerns, expectations, and medical history, allowing Kate to advise whether Nutritionally Optimised PRP Natural Facial Rejuvenation is an appropriate treatment for you.

If treatment is suitable, Kate Knowler will:

  1. Discuss personalised nutritional interventions to optimise the quality of your plasma in the weeks leading up to your PRP session
  2. Collect a small blood sample using our professional phlebotomy process
  3. Process the sample to prepare the platelet-rich plasma
  4. Prepare your skin carefully and hygienically
  5. Administer the PRP treatment using the agreed treatment method (injections, microneedling, or a combination of both)
  6. Talk you through aftercare and what to expect during the recovery period

Your experience matters just as much as the treatment itself, so  you will have time to ask questions, understand what is happening, and feel comfortable throughout your appointment.

A more considered approach to skin health

What is PRP?

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma.

A small amount of your blood is collected and processed to separate the plasma and platelets from the other blood components. Platelets contain a range of naturally occurring growth factors and signalling proteins involved in the body’s repair and healing processes.

The resulting platelet-rich plasma can then be used as part of a facial rejuvenation treatment, with the aim of supporting the skin’s natural regenerative response.

PRP is often referred to as a “vampire facial”, but the science behind it is considerably more interesting than the nickname suggests.

Why is Nutritionally Optimised PRP different?

Nutritionally Optimised PRP Natural Facial Rejuvenation is identical to standard PRP, but by optimising your diet and lifestyle prior to your appoitment, Kate Knowler will aim to ensure that your body has the building blocks it needs to create long-term results, optimal healing, and minimal downtime following your treatment.

Why Choose PRP?

One of the things that makes Nutritionally Optimised PRP Natural Facial Rejuvendation different from many cosmetic treatments is that it uses your own nutritionally-optimised, blood-derived plasma, rather than introducing any synthetic or lab-formulated fillers.

PRP is not designed to change your facial structure or add volume. Instead, it is used with the intention of supporting the skin’s natural processes and improving the appearance of skin quality over time.

It is a treatment for people who want to look fresher, healthier and more rested, while still looking like themselves.

Is PRP right for me?

PRP may be suitable for adults who want to support the appearance of their skin without relying on synthetic or lab-produced fillers.

However, it is not suitable for everyone. Certain medical conditions, medications, skin conditions, infections, blood-related conditions, or other circumstances may mean PRP is unsuitable or require further consideration.

A consultation is essential before your treatment, during which Kate Knowler will assess your suitability, explain the potential benefits and risks, and make sure you have the information you need to make an informed decision.

What can I expect after treatment?

You may experience some redness, swelling, sensitivity, or bruising following treatment, depending on the technique used and your individual response.

These effects are generally temporary, but recovery varies. Kate Knowler will provide you with personalised aftercare advice, including guidance on skincare, exercise, heat exposure and when to resume your usual routine.

PRP is not an instant-results treatment. Any improvement is expected to develop gradually, and some people may benefit from a course of treatments rather than a single appointment.

Kate will discuss realistic expectations and whether a treatment plan is appropriate for you during your consultation.

What can PRP facial treatment help with?

PRP may be suitable for people looking to improve the overall appearance and quality of their skin, including:

  • Dull or tired-looking skin
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Fine lines and early signs of skin ageing
  • Mild skin laxity
  • Skin texture and smoothness
  • The appearance of acne scarring
  • A complexion that looks less fresh or resilient than it once did

Results vary from person to person, and PRP is not a facelift or a replacement for surgical procedures. The aim is to support gradual, natural-looking improvements, rather than create an overnight transformation.
